Prefecture Rush

How to Play

• For the first 5 correct answers, choose from 2 options. From the 6th onward, choose the prefecture name that matches the displayed shape from 4 options.
• You can answer by tapping or clicking an option, using the arrow keys, or swiping within the choice area.
• On the start screen, you can turn English names on or off. When enabled, the English name is shown alongside the Japanese prefecture name in the choices and answer hints.
• All 47 prefectures are in the question pool from the start of the game.
• After 50 correct answers, the map shows only the prefecture itself without surrounding prefectures.
• After 100 correct answers, the map rotates to a random angle in 10-degree increments.
• The time limit starts at 30 seconds. The game ends when your remaining time reaches 0.

Time and Combos

• A correct answer adds 1 second to your remaining time.
• A mistake removes 2 seconds and resets your combo to 0.
• You earn a combo bonus for every 5 correct answers in a row. COMBO 5 gives +1 second, 10 gives +2 seconds, 15 gives +3 seconds, and 20 or higher gives +4 seconds. From COMBO 25 onward, you also earn +1 SCORE.

Text Hints

• Short hints introduce each prefecture through local specialties, sightseeing spots, festivals, geography, and more.
• Hints appear immediately from 0 to 9 correct answers. The delay increases by 1 second for every 10 correct answers, reaching 4 seconds from 40 correct answers onward.
• Each prefecture has multiple possible hints, and one is chosen at random.
• After 6 seconds, part of the prefecture name is revealed with some characters hidden. After 10 seconds, the full answer is shown.

Score

The faster you answer correctly, the more points you earn. Mistakes do not directly reduce your score.

• You earn 1 random item every 100 SCORE.
• The item card appears in the slot for 1.5 seconds, then activates automatically.
